  1. About the Training

The Government of Rwanda gazetted Income Tax Law No 027/2022 (ITL 2022) on 28th October 2022. The ITL 2022 repealed Law No 016/2018 of 13/04/2018 establishing taxes on income (repealed tax law), Law Nº 29/2012 of 27/07/2012 establishing tax on gaming activities (repealed gaming law), and all prior legal provisions contrary to the new ITL 2022.The training will focus on Professional Taxation which entails two (2) areas which cause headaches to majority of employees in accounting and finance departments;

  • Rwandan Taxation with focus on the new Tax law

Due to constant changes and development in tax laws and policies, employer’s expectations keep changing too and this implies that, staff and managers are required to copy as well to the changes. This training aims to transfer specific skills, practical competences and the transfer of skills which will obviously improve current and future employees’ performance.

Also knowing the ins-and-outs of QuickBooks will be extremely beneficial to your business or employer. Even if you already know how to use QuickBooks, training classes will help you master it. Once you master QuickBooks, you will be able to manage your accounting much more efficiently. Scope of VAT, VAT reverse charge, Time of supply, input tax not deductible (blocked VAT supplies), Time limit for claiming input tax, Tax paid prior to registration, VAT refund process, Withholding VAT, Electronic billing machines (EBMs).

overview of tax dispute and settlement  practices (appeals, amicable settlement, tax ruling and other arrangement)
